From San Ignacio: Tikal Maya Site Day-Trip with Local Lunch
1.Tikal Maya Site Day-Trip with Local Lunch
Review of the Tikal day trip from San Ignacio, with border help, expert guides, local lunch, transport details, costs, and practical tips.

“One of the best ruins we have ever seen. Lots of structures that you can ascend and see what the ancient people were seeing. Wildlife like toucans and spider and holler monkeys in the wild. Lots of walking. Make sure you have comfortable shoes. Long day but worth it. Slept well that night. Views were amazing. Learned a lot. Better than Chitzen Itza because it was less crowded and did not have the vendors all over. Lunch was good. Drivers were good. Border crossing was an experience. Added to the adventure. Only negative was that our guide was pretty dry. We both thought that it was the best day trip…”
